Anxiety & Stress
Relaxation, breathing and hypnotherapy techniques to bring your stress and anxiety levels down and put you back in control.
For adults worried about memory and concentration. Practical techniques, and help with the worry itself.
Worrying about your memory is its own problem, separate from the memory itself. Anxiety about forgetting occupies exactly the attention that remembering needs, so the worry makes the thing it is worried about more likely. That loop is very common and it is workable.
This is support for adults. If you are here because of exams or revision, the student page will suit you better.
If you have a medical concern about your memory, please speak to your GP. This work sits alongside medical care, never instead of it.
Relaxation comes first, because a mind braced against failure recalls badly. Calming the anxiety usually improves recall on its own, before any technique is added.
Then the practical side: mind maps, association techniques, methods for holding on to names, lists and instructions, and ways of structuring information so it has somewhere to sit rather than drifting off.
We also look honestly at sleep, because memory consolidates during it. As a Sleep Consultant and Relaxation Professional Therapist, that is often where I start.
Sessions run at all three consulting rooms. Choose whichever is easiest for you, or ask at the consultation and we will work it out together.
