EFT is Emotional Freedom Technique. It is a simple method which can be taught to anyone, young or old. It has been found particularly useful for young people on the autistic spectrum.
EFT does not involve discussing painful memories, it doesn’t require you to discuss intimate details. In fact, it is a very positive, forward thinking therapy.
Based on meridian lines (or our electrical roadmap) it is similar to acupuncture without the needles! Touching, repetition and acupressure is all that’s involved.
Once you have learned EFT from a practitioner (like me) you can use it where and when you like. Having learned the system you can use your skills to adjust what you are tapping to change.
It’s been an authorized treatment for war veterans with PTSD, and it’s demonstrated some benefits as a treatment for anxiety, depression, physical pain and insomnia. I find it useful for raising self esteem and confidence levels.
